The International Society of Automation (ISA) announces the fourth edition release of its Control Systems Engineering Exam Reference Manual: A Practical Study Guide—updated to cover the new, 2019 Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Control Systems Engineering (CSE) exam specifications developed and administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).

In addition, the new iteration of the book: has been significantly reduced in page length, ensuring that only the most applicable, exam-relevant content is included; and is provided in print—rather than pdf—format, making it convenient to bring along as a valuable resource on testing day.

All editions have been written by Bryon Lewis, PE, CMfgE, CCNA, CAP®, a Senior Member of ISA who has more than 30 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.

“Anyone preparing to take the PE/CSE exam can purchase this book with confidence, knowing that it addresses the pertinent subject matter and specifications found on the exam,” Lewis states. “And because it’s been reduced in size by about a third, it’s easier and faster to use and refer to essential content.”
