The International Society of Automation (ISA) has announced that 21-year marketing and communications veteran, Liz Neiman, has joined the ISA staff as the new Strategic Engagement Managing Director. The position places Neiman to oversee the marketing, communications, and events for ISA headquarters.

“Liz Neiman brings significant creative expertise to ISA. She has a real talent in knowing her audience, providing them with precisely the news they need to know or the experience they need to have,” said Claire Ramspeck, Executive Director of ISA. “She undoubtedly will have a tremendous impact on ISA.”

Neiman came to ISA after serving in leadership roles at other non-profits such as the MIND Research Institute in Irvine, CA, and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in New York, NY, for the last 15 years. She started at ANSI as a Communications Manager and worked her way up to become the Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations before taking a job at the MIND Research Institute as the Vice President of Engagement. Her experience will add a wealth of knowledge to ISA on return-on-investment marketing and communications strategy in high-velocity markets. Her team is thrilled to have her on board and we at ISA are looking forward to new changes in strategic engagement worldwide.

“I am thrilled to join the ISA family and bring my strategic marketing, communications, and events experience to the organization,” said Neiman. “Returning to standardization is like coming home, and I’m excited to meet and serve the automation community in this new role.”

Neiman showcased her creative genes on her personal website, where she reveals she comes from a family of graphic designers and artists. She said she “was doing paste-ups in diapers” and even spent time with the student-run theater group at Johns Hopkins University while obtaining a Bachelor of English.
