Scope

To prepare standards and guidelines, conduct symposia, and otherwise extend knowledge and use of this discipline.

Purpose

To develop a basis for safety-related setpoints.

Meetings

The ISA67.04 working group meeting held in conjunction with the 2018 POWID Symposium culminated in the final draft of the ISA-67.04.01 standard.  A core group of members invested a lot of time and concentrated effort to bring about the publication of this updated standard. Approved by ANSI December 8, 2018, ANSI/ISA-67.04.01-2018, Setpoints for Nuclear Safety-Related Instrumentation, will be available soon in the ISA online store and viewable-only as part of the ISA members' standards benefit. ISA67.04 will meet at the 2019 POWID symposium and hold Skype meetings and conference calls in the interim.

Status

Now that the updated standard has been published, ISA67.04 will focus on the revision of ISA-RP67.04.02-2010, Methodologies for the Determination of Setpoint for Nuclear Safety-Related Instrumentation. If you are not yet participating in the ISA67.04 working group and are interested in assisting in the revision work of this recommended practice, please contact ISA Standards Administrator, Eliana Brazda, at ebrazda@isa.org or (919) 990-9228.
