Global event to highlight advances in automation and technology applications to secure process improvements

The Italy Section of the International Society of Automation (ISA) is sponsoring a major international meeting 5-6 July 2017 near Milan, Italy to highlight significant advances in automation and demonstrate how these technologies are being applied globally to improve productivity, quality and sustainability.

The first edition of the Automation Instrumentation Summit (AIS) will attract industry leaders and automation professionals throughout Europe and the world to share best practices, identify strategies for ongoing process improvements, and gain the latest marketplace news and regulatory developments.

The two-day gathering will feature expert speakers and presentations focusing on the critical challenges and solutions in automation, instrumentation, measurement, control systems, cybersecurity, safety, communications, integration, fire and gas systems, analyzers and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

The grand castle, Castello Belgioioso, in the province of Pavia just south of Milan, will serve as the venue of the summit. The castle was founded and built by Galeazzo II Visconti, a ruler of Milan, during the second half of the 14th century. It stands today as a historic monument to Italian design and creativity and offers a stunning setting for public and private events.

A wide range of manufacturing companies will showcase their products and solutions, providing attendees with first-hand exposure to leading experts and the latest technologies. To view a list of current exhibitors, visit: https://automationinstrumentationsummit.com/exhibitors/.

Other first edition event highlights include a student "Ideas 4 Automation Award" competition. Participation is open to all the students (undergraduates of any degree and Ph.D. candidates) who want to share their future "Idea for Automation." Event submissions must be inspired by at least one of the themes of the conference. Winner will receive a cash prize for their chosen idea.
